@HallwaysOvAlwaysII Yes that is all included in the £38 million I mentioned annually that takes in to account the upkeep of the Palaces, travel and the cost of undertaking and receiving state visits and as I said since the time of George III the monarchs hereditary revenues has been surrendered to parliament in exchange for this money leaving the tax payer at a profit. This was done so that Parliament would control the flow of cash to the Crown.
They forgot to name Prince harry lol
@josh27JNR Taxpayers also pay the Queen $25.9 million in expenses to maintain her palaces; $6.4 million toward the Royal Train, helicopters and jets; and an additional $6.4 million toward other costs, like State Visits.
thats from usa today, I got articles from Forbes and others that show even after what you say has been done there is still additional taxes, and Im not a fan of US gov, obamas, bush, or clintons.
@HallwaysOvAlwaysII The Crown Estates are held in trust by the Monarch who surrenders the revenues from this estate to the UK treasury who meets the cost of the Monarchy. Last year the estates produced a profit of £220 million and even if the Monarchy cost £38 million (not including security) if security cost as much a £100 million the tax payer would still get a £72 million profit. Compare that to the US Presidential inauguration which cost £103 million.
@HallwaysOvAlwaysII As I said I disagree with the arrest of people who wanted to come and protest near the event on the day which a lot of our taxpayers money was spent on! However it does not mean that the people who were celebrating on the day are not potential targets for terrorist attacks or that when they surged down the mall their was potential for things to go wrong with out the controlled police presence. And as I stated before the Royals Private income comes from hereditary estates.
@josh27JNR I think you’re missing my point completely, a royal allowance that they(royals) receive through taxes seems to me like a really large welfare check. Also your tax money is being wasted again when cops arrest people that aren’t criminals but rather citizens who may or may not protest their wedding, they’re not protecting anything when doing that except the television broadcast of the wedding, making it look better for the cameras.
@HallwaysOvAlwaysII I do actually agree that the mas arrest of any protesters was wrong but that doesnt change the fact that the police were still needed to keep order and protect people either from any attacks or from to stop the crowd from crushing themselves.
OMG!!! Like someone once said, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” Who the hell cares?? If I had a magic wond, I would wish the Royal family and all their clan to a fare distant planet. They have sucked the life out of my beloved country.
@HallwaysOvAlwaysII americunt
oh look at these americans, jealous of the british constitutional monarchy
pay your debt first americans! your republic is crumbling. your financial oligarchy and media barons act like fake royalty in your country. instead of giving power to people, they manipulate you behind the banner of conservative liberal war. haha. lasting for only 250 years. tsk!
and the inbreds arrive in giant gas guzzlers…as is the tradition…
@josh27JNR “protect” hahaha they just arrested anyone who they suspected would protest before hand they don’t give a shit about protecting you, I meant the allowance you lot pay to the royals on record some report 12 million pounds others up to forty a year.
@HallwaysOvAlwaysII Only to protect anyone watching just like at the bigger wedding earlier this year. That is what the government is suppose to do. Pay to protect its citizens.
